WHO WE ARE

WACHILA SKYPOWER

We are a Zambian company, with a mission to bring clean and sustainable energy to Southern Africa. We were founded in 2020 with the goal of generating electricity from natural resources like the sun, wind and water, to help reduce the impact of power shortages and climate change in the region. Our goal is to become Zambia's leading renewable energy company and make a positive impact on rural communities by providing employment opportunities and contribution to the region's energy security.
We are currently working on a 300MW Concentrated Solar Power project in Likanda Village, Western Zambia, which will help increase the country's energy production and drive economic growth. With our passion for the power industry and expertise, we are hands-on in every step of the process to ensure a successful outcome.

XOLAN NDUI AKAPELWA

Xolani is an economist with over 12 years professional experience in conceptualising, organising and implementing big capital projects. His work experience spans work in strategic positions in government, real estate investment, pharmaceutical and finance firms. He has worked on big projects ranging from housing, telecommunications and power projects. He also has experience in financial mobilisation, risk analysis, monitoring and evaluation of projects, policy formulation and regional and global security analysis. He is an ardent advocate for investment in clean energy technology. He holds an undergraduate degree in Economics from the University of Zambia and a Master's degree in Actuarial Science.

Anon is a procurement specialist with over 18 years professional experience. He has worked within Supply Chain Management performing Procurement, Logistics, Warehousing and Administrative functions in the Republic of Zambia, United Nations and International Non-Governmental Organisations. He is a strong advocate of cost-saving at every stage of the supply chain without compromising quality. He holds a Graduate Diploma in Purchasing and Supply from the United Kingdom's Chartered Institute of Purchasing and Supply.

KAMONO NAMANTEMBA

V.P-Technical Services and Project Coordinator

Kamono is a seasoned industrial Electrical Engineer/Projects Manager with over 11 years experience in the Mines, Power, Energy and Cement processing where he worked as a maintenance professional in electrical, instrumentation, Automation and headed capital expenditure projects and brown field projects ranging from Electrical, Civil and Mechanical Engineering in nature. He is versatile with review and studying of project documents, including estimates, design drawings, specifications, customer proposals and contractor and contracts management. He is a scholar of the Project Engineering Master's Degree programme at the University of Zambia. He also holds a Bachelor of Engineering in Electrical and Electronics from the University of Zambia with a bias in Electrical Machines and Power Systems.

Martin is a public policy analyst with over 11 years professional experience in the public service of the Republic of Zambia working at different levels in planning and policy design and implementation. He has experience in formulation and implementation of Zambia's foreign policy and analysis of defense and security issues at regional and global levels. He has participated in the formulation of national and regional energy policies under the auspices of Southern Africa Development Community (SADC). He is an advocate of investing in renewable energy sources as a way to mitigate the effects of Climate Change. He holds a Bachelor's degree from the University of Zambia and a Master's degree in Economic and Public Policy from Japan's University of Tsukuba.

Mupuwaliywa is an economist with over 7 years professional experience. He has worked in operations and strategic positions in the banking academia and international development sectors. His work includes high profile assignments such as project design and management, analytical and advisory works for various governments including the Republic of Zambia and Malawi. He is an accompolished project manager and an avid supporter of agility to business management. He holds an undergraduate degree in Economics from the University of Zambia and two Master's degree in Economics, Finance and Econometrics from the University of Edinburg and the University of London of London Queen Mary respectively.
